Be ‘Sway’d’ by Temporary Art Works
David Lymburner on July 2, 2011 in College EntryEnjoy a virtual walk through a no-longer empty lot in downtown Salt Lake City, transformed by Daniel Lyman, University of Utah architecture student. With his design called Swayd, for its energetic elements, Lyman won a competition called Fluid Adagio, which aims to fill vacant lots with something inviting and unexpected, beyond typical landscaping. The temporary installationwhich will stand for 18 months until construction begins on a new dance centeris open to the public west of the Capitol Theater at 50 W. 200 South. When youve taken the virtual tour below from concept to fruition, get downtown and experience it in person. You can read more about the project in the Salt Lake Tribune. (Photo credits: Libby Lyman)
