As if deciding what college to attend wasn’t hard enough, deciding what you’re going to study once you get there can be even harder. And yes, you need to have some sort of idea of what field you want to get into come college application time which for all you seniors is now–they require you to make a selection of majors from their lists. So do you fulfill your parents dream and become a doctor? A politician? What about a professional Homemaker? Yes, that degree is real. Here are the top five unusual degrees and schools you might want to consider before writing that entrance essay to Harvard.

Homemaker. Want to learn how to be a “proper” wife and mother? Since 2007, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in FortWorth, Texas has offered a Bachelor’s degree in Arts in Humanities with a concentration in Homemaking. The academic program includes lectures on nutrition and food preparation, making clothes from scratch as well as philosophical courses such as “Biblical Model for the Home and Family,” which teaches women they should be submissive to their husbands. As the degree description says, these majors will learn the “practical skill development for the most important job a woman may have: the nurture and care of the family.”

Science in Adventure Education. This degree is especially designed for the out-door lovers. Offered at Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont, students must “learn foundational skills and subsequently move to learning how to teach outdoor skills via the integration of human, outdoor and educational skills later in the curriculum. Courses include Management of Outdoor & Adventure Programs and Outdoor Living Skills, plus hands-on electives like Rock & Ice Climbing, SCUBA and Mountain Biking. During their junior year, students must lead a solo four- or five-day field.

Cereal Chemistry. Are crunchy bits of cereal soaked in cold milk for breakfast the favorite part of your day? Or have you ever wanted to create the tastiest cereal yet known to man? Then maybe you should consider taking cereal chemistry offered at Kansas State University. Here, students will be taught how to make healthy cereal using technological, innovative techniques. Under the schools Department of Grain Science and Industry, students can also earn a minor in Bakery Science and Feed Science.

Cult Film and Television. Obsessed with all things vampires? Then this degree might be the perfect fit for you. Offered at Brunel University in West London, majors are required to immerse themselves and conduct in-depth theory-study of films like Dracula, The Omen and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Comedy Writing and Performance. Whoever thought you could be “taught” how to be funny. Apparently you can at Humber College in Toronto, Canada. The program teaches naturally talented students (you have to be kind of funny during your audition) how to improve their stand-up, improvisation, scriptwriting, and sketch comedy skills. Students also get to learn the commercial side of the business.
